Fascia Release

Fascia (Facia) is a sheath of connective tissue that surrounds every part of your body. It provides support to your muscles, tendons, ligaments, tissues, nerves, joints and bones.

Benefits of Myofascial Release Massage

  • Reduce pain.

  • Release knots/trigger points.

  • Improve movement and flexibility.

  • Improve muscle function.

  • Enhance circulation by breaking up the tight areas where blood flow may become restricted.

  • Reduce exercise-related soreness

Skin Appearance

There is strong evidence to support that fascia plays a role in cellulite, the orange peel-like, dimpled skin texture that most appears on thighs, hips and buttocks. Cellulite happens when parts of the skin are pulled down by fibrous connective bands, which attach the skin to muscle.

Does trauma get stored in fascia?

Because our bodies and emotions can only safely handle a limited amount of stress, trauma results whenever an experience exceeds our abilities to handle and cope with its consequences. The energy of the trauma is stored in our bodies' tissues (primarily muscles and fascia) until it can be released.
